Part-Time Family Outreach Minister Role at Longview Baptist Church

PART TIME FAMILY / OUTREACH MINISTER JOB DESCRIPTION

Longview Baptist Church | Part-Time

MISSION: To draw families to Christ by inspiring a life of salvation, faith, and service with the intent to develop a ministry for children, youth, and families.

MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build Christ-centered relationships with children, youth, and families to grow and mentor their faith journeys.

  • Encourage, equip, and empower volunteer teams who are part of the Family Ministry programs.

  • Help families get connected with serving teams at Longview Baptist (usher, tech, worship team, greeting, etc.).

  • Offer programming for the family that develops Godly relationships.

  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining a ministry and attending ministry meetings as needed.

  • Help plan and execute the community outreach ministry.

  • Attend activities that support Longview Baptist families.

  • Work in partnership with the Pastor and Church Leadership to further the kingdom goals of Longview Baptist.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Serve as a positive and visible role model for Christian living and service in the church and community.

  • Show evidence of a growing Christian character practiced by a life of prayer, spiritual discipline, giving, and participation in the life of the church.

  • Demonstrate a passion for working with families and a willingness to work variable hours based on program needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have the desire and ability to work with and relate to families.

  • Be a team player who works well with other members of the church staff/leadership.

  • Demonstrate organizational skills for the effective administration of the position.

  • Have a clear background check and possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

COMPENSATION [Add hourly rate or pay range here — not legally required in Missouri, but recommended for a stronger candidate pool.]
